Believe me folks if you think you had a bad year in 2009......okay, you probably did. ^_^
I know I did.
I am a victim of abuse.
I used to think that I was a strong willed person, and that I was in control of the situation, but I have come to realize that, this is exactly what he wanted me to think. For 12 years, I have thought that I was fully capable of leaving him at any time that I wanted. But in reality, I was lying to myself. I had become co-dependent and even permissive in his abuse. Always staying, despite everything that he did to me.
Well, that has all changed. It changed the minute my daughter came to me and told me that fucking asshole had been touching her since she was ten years old.
On November 27, my life changed forever. I realized that I hadn't just screwed up my life, but that my children were paying the price for my refusal to acknowledge the truth.
The reason I am posting this is not for sympathy or reassurance, but REVENGE! That sorry fucking asshole deserves to be eviscerated in print! I want everyone to know what he did! Who he is, and will even post where to find the fucking bastard once he is sentenced!

The Stillwater Police Department arrested a Stillwater man last week accused of molesting his girlfriend’s 14-year-old daughter since she was 10 years-old.
Richard Douglas Elmore, 37, has been charged with five felonies including rape by instrumentation, forcible oral sodomy, two counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16 and one count of lewd or indecent acts to a child.
On Nov. 27, family members contacted police after becoming aware of the situation, Stillwater Police Capt. Randy Dickerson said.
The police were called to the residence where they interviewed the girl, her mother and Elmore.
Police were told the offenses occurred from when the victim was 10-years-old at three different locations in Stillwater, Dickerson said.
According to court documents, the mother told police that during a recent fight with her daughter regarding the daughter’s 18-year-old boyfriend, her daughter told her she had been molested by Elmore since she was 10-years-old.
Elmore admitted sexual contact with the 14-year-old, who he known since she was three-years-old, to police during their interview with him, according to court documents.
Payne County District Court issued an arrest warrant Tuesday for Elmore with a bail of $100,000.
Do I want to be exonerated from my role in this? No. I take full responsibility for my role in allowing this to happen. I could have done more, and would have had I known where it would go. But hindsight is always 20/20 allowing us to see our mistakes no matter how small they may be. What you do with the knowledge is completely up to you.

Currently, I no longer live in Stillwater. I am looking for a new job, and am trying to piece our lives back together. It will take time, tears and courage but I am determined to see this through. If not for me, then for my sons and my daughter, who deserve better that the life they have gotten so far.

Damn....for someone who doesn't have a life.....
So, I am sitting here, working on my costumes for A-kon when it occures to me that for someone who doesn't have a life I seem to be the busiest kid on the block. Where the hell does the time go? I swear it gets sucked up in the vortex created by the dryer. (Which incidentally is the same place where your missing socks go. Two socks go into the dryer...one sock comes out)Not that it matters much.
I know there are other things I should be doing, like cleaning my house... which no it isn't a total pigsty but I wouldn't want surprise company showing up. But when that is all that I do, clean, cook, clean, wash clothes, clean, fold clothes, clean, cook,clean, go to bed......B-O-R-I-N-G.
I don't know of anyone who wouldn't go crazy staring at the same four walls day in and day out. You know it is bad when you stay in bed all day just for a change of scenery.
It could be worse though. If it weren't for Kelly coming over here, I think I would have gone mad ages ago. Though the truth be told, even that has become boring. Granted it is very nice to have someone to talk to instead of listening to the sound of your own voice, but frankly, I would rather talk to someone else for a change.
Never let it be said that writing is easy. For those of you out there who struggle with your inner author you know what it is like to have the perfect idea. You rush to get it out onto the page, then you revise and craft your masterpiece, and finally you post it to a website. But what about writing a book? I know many people personally who would love nothing better than to be an author for a living. Me personally being one of them.
So to try and make that dream come true, I am taking this writing course, with the hopes that it lands me a book deal, but lets face facts here... Every year publishers receive anywhere for 1500 to 3000 manuscripts, of those manuscripts only about one quarter are not rejected, but the worst statistic yet, is that of that quarter, there are only about 30 books published a year. The odds do not look to be in my favor.
Okay....so maybe a book deal is pushing my luck, so lets try magazines. I can do free lance work right? Well lets see.... not only do you have to write a snappy article that deals with either a current issue or event or come up with a way to put a new spin on an old idea...whew... now there is work...especially if you want to make a living at this.
I am going to give it a shot though. Try it for a couple of years and see if I get anything published... we can't all be J.K. Rowling who incidentally had NEVER had anything published in her LIFE and Boom one day she is a millionaire...
I really should try and write more often here. There isn't the constraint that I have to show on paper. Believe me people, there may be a law stating that you can write and say whatever you wish, but that doesn't mean they have to publish it......

I have decided to adopt a soldier. It may sound weird, but there are many soldiers deployed around the world who receive no mail. Can you imagine? Watching all of your friends in your unit getting letters and packages and you get nothing? It must be awful, and incredibly depressing. They have an extremely stressful job to endure and the last thing that they need weighing on them is the next mail call. I couldn't even imagine the heartache these soldiers must go through when mail call happens.
Even though I do not support the war in Iraq or Afghanistan, I have nothing against the soldiers who have been deployed there to fight it. They didn't start the war but they are the ones who have to pay for it with their lives, limbs, and possibly sanity. The least I could do is make the war a little more bearable for one of these lonely soldiers.
Would those of you who read this journal be willing to help me with this adoption? Write a letter, or help defray the cost of a monthly care package? Or maybe even adopt a soldier yourself.
